General Purpose of Job
To investigate chronic or re-occurring issues that create line downtime and decrease EAC's manufacturing capability. An EAC Maintenance Engineer is expected to contribute his or her knowledge and expertise to determine root cause of failures and develop C/Ms to prevent failures in the future. Specific duties and responsibilities will, however, be assigned by the Maintenance Engineering Manager and may be defined as a production area, a manufacturing process, and / or a class of equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities described below are subject to management discretion and may be changed at any time based upon corporate need or reasonable accommodation. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor of this position.

* Investigating equipment failures using FTA, 5 why, and other tools to obtain root cause of failure
* Develop and implement long term C/Ms to equipment failures and develop PM for maintaining good conditions.
* Improving operations by identifying opportunities to incorporate new, more efficient processes.
* Providing timely support to the Line Maintenance group in response to breakdown maintenance situations.
* Providing technical expertise, support, and training to all engineering and maintenance activities as directed by the Maintenance Engineering Manager..
* Preparing and keeping current EAC's documentation of all equipment and processes. Developing and subsequently monitoring full maintenance programs (including preventative and predictive) for all equipment. Creating and implementing spare parts lists for all equipment, including assisting in establishing min / max stocking requirements. Periodic checks of existing spare parts for usage and obsolescence.
* Working to create and maintain a safe, secure, environmentally friendly environment for all.
Education and/or Experience
* BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related degree is required.
* Highly skilled in the latest version of AutoCAD.
* Ability to trouble shoot using sound engineering principles.
* Ability to read and understand pneumatic and hydraulic schematics is required.
* Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong automation and PLC experience preferred.
* Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
* 5 yrs experience in Maintenance Engineering is preferred.
