General Purpose of Job
Performs complete quality Die maintenance, Die analysis and troubleshooting on all Dies, Fixtures, Jigs and Gages. Machines parts from sketches and blueprints.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

§ Works with Tool & Die Maintenance Team Leader and Department Supervisor to develop countermeasures for Die performance and quality improvements. Does Die analysis and trouble shooting with minimal or no supervision.
§ Machines parts complete from drawings, sketches or verbal instructions to close tolerances (.005mm) with little or no supervision.
§ Maintains all Die history forms and Die detail inventory. Complete and accurate account of these forms as they happen everyday.
§ Promotes a positive teamwork environment. Sets an example for trainees and other employees to follow. Maintains a high work ethic and output. Responds to customer demands meeting deliveries and quality.
§ Completes all required tracking records for Die maintenance by JOB BOSS or if a shop router is not attached MANUAL TRACKING on a time sheet and turned into Tool & Die scheduler every Monday morning.
§ Responsible for training Tool & Die Apprentices.
§ Assists in on-the-job-training (OJT) of other associates in the Tool & Die maintenance area.
§ Support of team members to achieve team goals (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Morale).
§ Full support of 5S5T program.
§ Complies with applicable Exedy America Corporation policies and procedures.

Education and/or Experience

§ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
§ Forklift Experience required.
§ Minimum (5) years experience in Tool & Die maintenance. In addition, it is strongly preferred that the candidate has completed a Tool & Die Apprenticeship or a Tool & Die program at a technical school.
§ Must possess troubleshooting capabilities and have experience operating conventional tool room equipment mills, lathes, grinders. Knowledge of CNC equipment a plus.
§ Must be able to program manually and with CAD/CAM
§ Completes own setups.
