Woman's prerogative. After one year of what I know is a perfectly fine couch and love seat, I find out my wife wants a new living room suite.
What she wants, she (normally) gets! (Yes, she'd tell you otherwise...don't encourage her!)
So, to keep her happy, which helps keep the household happy, we're getting new furniture.
My loss is your gain. Please, help me keep my wife happy!

Given enough notice for a weekend or after work-day pickup, I can offer to assist in loading it into your truck/van/train/plane.
(Beware, my neighbors might give a fuss about the train or plane.)

No financing available.
When possible, we'd prefer cash. That let's you have them immediately as soon as you can pick them up..
If you use a cashier's check, we'll write you a signed receipt letter stating that you payed for the couch and love seat, noting they can only be picked up after our bank has cleared the check.
(At one time, cashier's checks were (almost) as good as money... darn 411 scams!!)
