Do you want to help rabbits in need? Hops and Lops Tennessee Rabbit Rescue is always in need of volunteers! Foster Homes, Volunteers for Adoption Events, Educators, Transporters, and so on, we always need volunteers. We provide most needed supplies (if we have it handy) for foster homes and provide all vet expenses if needed! All rabbits are pre-screened with strangers, kids, other rabbits and other pets, before being placed in a foster home. This program is great for anyone interested in adopting a rabbit or a first time rabbit owner!!!Here are a few facts about our rescue and the rabbits we help out: What type of rescue is Hops and Lops TN Rabbit Rescue? HLTRR is a not for profit, no kill rabbit rescue. We are here to help any rabbit in need and provide rabbit owners with an advice, adoption, and surrender option if they ever need it. We also provide low cost spay/neuter option for other rabbit owners!Where do the rabbits come from? Most Rabbits that come into the rescue are from private owners that can no longer care for their beloved pet, but we have and will take rabbits from shelter pulls, bottle babies, found as strays, accident litters, and/or abuse cases. This is just a short list of some of the places rabbits have/will come from, but rabbits from other places is possible.What is needed from a volunteer/foster? All HLTRR expects from it's fosters and volunteers is love and a bit of their time. For foster homes, we try and provide all needed supplies (cage, water bottle, toys, etc.) if we have it handy or to spare, all we ask is the home provide a loving home for a little while and food.Can we pick our foster rabbit?Yes, if the rabbit will fit in your home, we do allow foster homes to pick their foster rabbit!Can we adopt our foster rabbit if we chose to? YES YES YES! When fostering, the foster family always has a chance to speak up about adopting their foster rabbit, they always chose first!
